FEEL BETTER : THINK BETTER : RELATE BETTER:

Perry-May is a body based therapist specialising in helping people cope better with stress and anxiety through somatic (body based) practice.

A little bit more…

Perry-May is a wife to Mike Britton and a mother to Joshua and spent 25 years in church and charity work in the business of helping people flourish. After taking a twelve year (!) break she began tentatively retraining in massage therapy and stumbled unintentionally across the somatic world and knew immediately she had found her vocation! While completing her anatomy and physiology exams she began to study and research the concept of what it means to feel ‘safe’ both in your body, your environment and with others. This principle led her to study with the Poly Vagal Institute where she gained knowledge that built perfectly on her experience and life skills. Seeing a huge need for helping people cope with stress and anxiety Perry-May created the Embodied Course, intended to make the benefits of nervous system calming techniques accessible to all… if you would like to know more please do get in touch.

Here is a body scan exercise that you could try at home. It is a very simple way to help you calm your nervous system and feel connected. It is a form of meditation and it gives you an idea of what it might be like working with Perry-May

Testimony:

Perry-May has significantly changed my and my 16-year-old daughter's life for the better. Perry-May is just brilliant. She is a very knowleagable and capable somatic therapist. At all times, she was professional and kind. She was able to provide my daughter and I with multiple strategies for significant stress, anxiety reduction and improved sleep.  My daughter and I both feel that she creates an incredibly safe and fun space for personal exploration, learning and growth.

We highly recommend her.

Perry-May was amazing with my daughter who has dyslexia and ADHD. Perry worked and supported my daughter with a fantastic programme of stress management throughout her GCSE year. She provided regular weekly sessions was fun and gave wise counsel and a very safe space to practise somatic techniques for managing anxiety and focus. My daughter managed this tough year better as a result and always left her session saying she felt better, calmer and happier.

I am so grateful for all I have learnt and for the hours wisely spent on the Embodied course, the sleep course … a series of life-changing massage experiences.

We highly recommend Perry-May! (TQ)
